Multi award-winning Mel Parsons is one of New Zealand’s established songwriting stars. Parsons’ beguiling voice, razor sharp wit and deft hand on the guitar makes for a captivating live show and has won her a dedicated fan base across six records, countless tours and many awards including AMA Folk Artist of the Year in 2020.

Mel has always had an incredible dedication to live shows and touring. Her Woolshed tours are legendary for covering Woolshed's across the length and breadth of New Zealand. In her shows Mel enchants the audience with stories from across her life and the background to her songs.

Mel's brand new record is an expression of love and quiet hope above gnawing self-doubt. After delighting fans with a string of singles – the celebrated Kiwi singer and songwriter completes the picture with the release of her latest full-length album – the exquisitely crafted, Sabotage.

Parsons, who is shortly bound for Canada tp perform at the prestigious Vancouver Folk Festival, also brings a lush new musiv video to accompany the album's final single, 5432, filmed in her hometown of Lyttelton. The song is a real favourite in her lives set, featuring soaring Crosby, Stills and Nash-style vocal harmony and hypnotic guitar.
